چکیده

This paper presents an adaptive code-aided technique for the suppression of narrowband interference (NBI) in direct-sequence code-division multiple access (DS-CDMA) systems. This technique uses a multiuser detector based on the Interacting Multiple Model (IMM) algorithm. This detector is based on the concept that the effective model of the received signal at a time instance can be approximated by one of models in the IMM algorithm. Simulations are used to compare the performance of the proposed technique with that of the recursive least squares (RLS) version of the minimum mean-square error (MMSE) for multiuser detection [1].

Interpolation Lattice Filters for Narrowband Interference Cancellation in PN Spread Spectrum Communication Systems

Previous work on the adaptive lattice filters for narrowband interference rejection in a direct sequence (DS) spread spectrum communication system has centered around the use of one-sided prediction only. For two-sided interpolation, that is known to achieve better interference rejection than its one-sided counterpart, only the least-mean-squared (LMS) algorithms have been considered thus far i...

A convex projections method for improved narrow-band interference rejection in direct-sequence spread-spectrum systems

A method is presented for enhancing the narrowband interference rejection capability of direct-sequence spread-spectrum systems employing an adaptive notch filter. The method, based on projection onto convex sets, restores that part of the spread-spectrum signal distorted by the filter. Simulation results are presented which show the output bit-error rate (BER) improvement gained by using the s...

Performance Comparison of Spread Spectrum Methods in an Hf Interference Environment

Since the interfering signals from other users of the spectrum is a main problem in HF communication, it is necessary to consider them when evaluating HF radio systems. Based on the Laycock-Gott congestion model, a statistical HF interference model is derived and brieey compared to real measurements. The two basic methods to apply spread-spectrum modulation in radio communication are frequency-...

A Linear Receiver for Direct-Sequence Spread-Spectrum Multiple-Access Systems with Antenna Arrays and Blind Adaptation

A linear receiver for direct-sequence spreadspectrum multiple-access communication systems under the aperiodic random sequence model is considered. The receiver consists of the conventional matched filter followed by a tapped delay line with the provision of incorporating the use of antenna arrays. It has the ability of suppressing multipleaccess interference (MAI) and narrowband interference i...
